Babylon Paving

The Ground Under Your Feet Matters

Cold snaps crack blacktop fast. I’ve seen it plenty of times out here on Long Island, a driveway that looked fine in October turns into a mess by February. That’s why the work has to be done right from the base up, no shortcuts.

We’ve been laying asphalt and setting pavers across the Babylon area for years. Residential driveways, backyard patios, walkways, commercial lots. The crew knows this ground, the soil conditions, the freeze-thaw cycle, what holds and what doesn’t.

What We Work With

Every job is different, and the surface choice matters. Here’s what we work with:

  • Hot mix asphalt, standard blacktop for driveways and parking areas
  • Asphalt overlays laid over existing sound surfaces
  • Interlock concrete pavers, brick-pattern, straight-set, or running bond
  • Concrete paving for patios, paths, and terrace areas
  • Permeable paver systems where drainage is a priority
  • New full-depth driveway installs, stripped right back to subgrade

Drainage First, Always

Honest truth, drainage is the thing most people don’t think about until water is sitting in the wrong place. I’ve seen patios slope back toward the house, driveways that pool at the garage door. We grade everything before a single load of material goes down. Getting that pitch right (even a degree or two makes the difference) is what separates a job that lasts from one that fails in three winters.

We do a lot of work around the South Shore. Babylon village, West Babylon, Lindenhurst. The North Amityville Volunteer Fire Department is just up the road, and we’ve worked near enough to know this area like the back of our hand.

Straight Talk on the Work

We show up, we do the job, we clean up. That’s it, really. Prices are fair and we’ll tell you upfront what the surface needs before we quote anything.
