What we do

How we actually build it

Right, this matters more than most customers realise. The surface you see is only as good as what sits underneath it. We build up the base in compacted layers, sharp sand, MOT Type 1 hardcore, all consolidated properly before a single slab goes down. We collect our hardcore from Braintree Council’s depot yard when we are working locally, so we are not hanging around waiting on deliveries.

Skipping that stage is why so many patios sink, crack or drain badly within a couple of years. We do not skip it.

Fencing, walling and lawns

It is not just hard surfaces. We install timber fencing, build garden walls, and lay both real and artificial grass. A lot of our customers sort the whole garden in one go (which honestly makes sense from a drainage and levels point of view). We plan it all together so the finished result sits right.
