Laois Insulation
Laois Insulation
Cold house: that is the problem most people ring me about.
Whether it is a bedroom that never warms up, a sitting room that eats through oil, or a garage conversion that feels like a fridge in January, the fix usually starts with the fabric of the building. I have sorted all of those jobs across County Laois, from Portlaoise out to Abbeyleix and up towards Mountmellick.
Insulating a cold garage conversion is one of those jobs people put off for years. They regret waiting. A day’s work with closed cell spray foam to the walls and roof, and the room is transformed.
Here is what we cover:
- External wall insulation (EWI) with rendered or brick-slip finish
- Cavity wall insulation and pumped bead cavity fill
- Attic and loft insulation, including rafter-level work
- Spray foam, both open cell and closed cell
- Internal dry lining and wall insulation
- Underfloor insulation for solid and suspended floors
- Pipe lagging and hot water cylinder insulation
- Draught proofing and air sealing
- SEAI grant assistance and BER improvement work
- Damp and condensation control
On the SEAI grants, I help customers identify what they qualify for before any work starts. No point leaving money on the table, it is your entitlement.
The materials I use are fit for the Irish climate. That means vapour control, breathability where it matters, and proper detailing at junctions. Rushed insulation causes damp. I have seen it too many times on houses where someone cut corners.
I work right across the county and into the surrounding areas. No job is too awkward, however unusual the building type.
