Extensions, from the ground up

If you are thinking about extending, there are more options than most people realise. Here is what we build:

• Single-storey rear extensions
• Double-storey rear extensions
• Side return extensions
• Wrap-around extensions
• Over-structure extensions built above garages or existing ground floor rooms
• Basement extensions and conversions
• Infill extensions between existing wings
• Modular and flat-pack timber frame extensions

Each one needs different groundwork, different structural considerations. We handle that ourselves, start to finish.

Loft and garage work

Loft conversions are steady work for us, dormer or hip-to-gable, depending on what the roof allows. We did a new garage build near Chislehurst last autumn, block and beam floor, cavity wall, proper insulated roof. Straightforward job done right. Garage conversions into habitable rooms we do regularly too. (The difference in cost between a garage conversion and a full extension surprises most people the first time they hear it.)

Structural and general work

We do the less glamorous end as well. RSJ installations, chimney rebuilds, brickwork repointing, external rendering in sand and cement or through-coloured silicone render. Plastering internally. Groundworks for new drainage runs or hard standings. We work to the detail because that is where problems start if you don’t.
