We are Cork Builders. We build.

Based in Cork City, we take on residential and commercial building work across the region. The work itself

Loft conversions are something we get a lot of enquiries about, and for good reason. They are one of the most practical ways to add usable floor space without touching your footprint. We carry them out to full building regulation standard, including dormer, hip-to-gable, mansard and Velux configurations.

So when it comes to extensions, there is more choice than most people realise. We build single-storey rear extensions, double-storey extensions, side-return extensions, wraparound extensions, over-structure extensions built above existing ground-floor space, and basement conversions where ground conditions allow. Each one carries its own structural demands.

Right, groundworks is an area we take seriously. Substructure work sets the tone for everything above it. We carry out strip foundations, raft foundations, and pad foundations depending on load and ground bearing capacity, and we do not cut corners at that stage.

How we work

We price clearly. We show up. We finish what we start. The team we bring on site are experienced tradespeople, not a rotating cast of whoever is available that week. However, if a specialist trade is needed, we work with people we know and trust.

We work in blockwork and concrete, timber frame, and structural steel where the job calls for it. We know Cork’s building stock. We know the soil conditions, the planning sensitivities, and the weather.
