Portrane Guttering

Guttering installation and repair, north County Dublin

From the first sign of a blocked downpipe to a full roofline overhaul, we handle the complete range of guttering and fascia work across Portrane and the surrounding north Dublin area.

What we do

We work with uPVC, aluminium, and cast iron across every stage of a job, from new installations to repairs and replacements. The materials and profiles we fit include:

  • uPVC and aluminium seamless gutters in half-round, ogee, and square-line profiles
  • Cast iron gutter restoration and repair
  • Downpipe replacement and hopper head fitting
  • Soffit and fascia board replacement in uPVC
  • Leaf guards and gutter mesh
  • Connection to existing soakaways and gullies
  • Rainwater diverters and water butt installation

How we work

Proper fall is something a lot of installers get wrong. We re-space brackets correctly and set the fall before a single length of guttering goes up. On most jobs we use a concealed gutter bracket fixing system, which keeps the fascia line clean and removes the visual clutter you get with exposed fixings.

We work on everything from terraced houses to detached properties, and we’ve done roofline work on the club facilities at St. Brigid’s GAA (fair bit of linear run on a job like that, to be honest). We know what coastal weather does to rooflines up here, and we specify materials accordingly.

How long does a gutter replacement take?

For a standard semi-detached house, a full gutter and downpipe replacement typically runs four to six hours. Larger detached properties, or jobs involving soffit and fascia work at the same time (which is worth doing while access is set up anyway), will run to a full day or more depending on the scope.
