What does Ingatestone Patios actually do?

We lay patios across Ingatestone, Essex and the surrounding area. Porcelain tiles, Indian sandstone, concrete flagstones, natural stone. The ground here carries estuarine silt in a fair few spots, and that changes how we prep the base. Get that wrong and the whole thing shifts inside two winters.

Each one beds differently, so we don’t cut corners on the sub-base. That is honestly where most failed patios start, and it is a costly lesson once the surface has gone down.

Do you do anything beyond paving?

We do, and that side of the work keeps us just as busy as the patio side does. Is there a more practical upgrade to an outdoor space than sorting the lawn and the boundary at the same time? We think not. We install timber fencing, garden walling, roll-on turfed lawns and artificial grass.

What about keeping a patio in good shape long term?

Routine maintenance is something I always bring up with customers early on. Repointing, re-sealing porcelain, keeping drainage clear around the perimeter. It is straightforward stuff, but left too long it becomes a bigger job, and nobody wants that bill.

Where do you cover?

We are based in Ingatestone, Essex and take on work across the local area. Most of our jobs come through word of mouth from neighbours who have seen a finished garden and wanted the same for themselves, which tells us something about the standard we hold to.
