Great Wakering Patios

Great Wakering Patios

How it started

A neighbour asked me to sort her back garden. That one job turned into this.

We have been laying patios and transforming outdoor spaces across the SS3 postcode and the villages nearby for years now. Every garden throws something different at you, whether that is heavy Essex clay, an awkward slope, or a tight access passage that makes delivery interesting (I once spent a full afternoon shuffling porcelain slabs through a side gate about the width of my shoulders).

What we do

  • New patio installations in porcelain, Indian sandstone, and concrete flagstones
  • Garden paths and paved areas
  • Block paving and kerb edging
  • Timber fencing and garden walling
  • Roll-on turf and artificial grass lawns

How we work

We take the groundwork seriously because that is what the finished surface actually rests on. Get the sub-base wrong and even the best porcelain will lift inside two winters.

One thing customers often overlook is lighting. Where the layout allows, I like to work low-voltage lighting into the step risers. It changes the whole feeling of the garden once the evenings draw in, and it is nowhere near as complicated to install at the build stage as it sounds.

Materials and honesty

Not every job calls for the most expensive slab on the market. I will tell you what actually suits your garden, your drainage situation, and your budget. That is not me being modest, it is just how I prefer to do business.

We cover Great Wakering, Rochford, Canewdon, and the surrounding parishes. If you have ever walked past St Nicholas Church on the High Street and looked over at those well-kept front gardens, you already know the kind of finish local people expect around here.
