Who we are

We cover Carlow town and the surrounding areas, out as far as Tullow, Muinebheag, and the Barrow Valley stretches. If you’ve got moss crawling across your tiles or gutters blocked solid, we’re the lads you want on the roof.

What do we actually do?

We keep it tight to what we know. Here’s the scope of what we carry out:

• Roof cleaning and moss removal
• Roof scraping and algae treatment for roof surfaces
• Roof painting and tile sealing
• Ridge tile repairs
• Gutter cleaning and drainage clearance

The algae treatment side of things is something we get called out for regularly. Left untreated, algae breaks down the surface of the tile faster than most people realise. We use a biocide wash that kills it at the root rather than just shifting the surface growth.

How do we work?

We don’t do vague. Before we touch anything, we get up and have a proper look. Could be moss, could be algae, could be a ridge tile sitting loose that nobody’s noticed. We tell you what we find, straight.

Is it worth sealing after a clean? Nine times out of ten, yes. A sealed tile throws water off cleanly and slows regrowth down by years. We’ll say so if we think it’s needed, and we won’t push it if it’s not.

What kind of roofs do we work on?

Concrete tiles, clay, slate. However the condition is, we assess it first and match the treatment to the material. Pressure levels, chemical dilution, dwell time, it all gets adjusted. We’re not hosing everything the same way.

Some roofs we see are in a right state, sure look, but most jobs are more straightforward once you get up close and know what you’re dealing with.
