One job that comes up a fair bit is resin bound laid straight over old concrete. Done right, with the surface properly prepared and a decent SuDS-compliant mix, it comes out sharp and it lasts. Done badly, it lifts inside two winters. We have cleared up enough of those for other people to know the difference.

On the patio side, porcelain has become the go-to for a lot of customers, however natural sandstone and concrete paving still do the job well and cost less. We will tell you honestly what suits your ground and your budget.
