The house was purchased in 1999 and following extensive refurbishment reopened as a 4 star Killarney hotel in 2001.

The Browne Family also own and manage the following properties in Kerry; The Whitesands Hotel in Ballyheigue, the Whitegates Hotel Killarney and Kate Brownes Pub in Ardfert Co. Kerry which is a member of the Seafood Circle of Ireland, RAI and Georgina Campbell recommended.
