High powered US group to visit

A HIGH powered delegation of polliticians and business leaders from the United States is set to visit the Cooley Peninsula on Saturday.

Louth Deputy Seamus Kirk is responsible for inviting the 60 strong delegation and their spouses and partners.

Their first stop will be Cooley Distillery where they will have lunch and be given a tour of the award-winning company. They will meet with representatives from Enterprise Ireland, IDA, Dundalk Chamber of Commerce and Louth Local Authorities' Business Unit. The county's TDs have also been invited.

Afterwards they will get the chance to see the beautiful scenery of north Louth with a visit to Carlingford. We are delighted that the delegation is coming to Louth and we will certainly be trying to sell the county as much as possible while affording the visitors a warm welcome to the Land of Legends said a spokesperson for the Business Unit at Louth County Council.
