Profile
Matthew Richardson, established Richardsons at Old Clare St. in 1990. We are a fresh produce and food distribution business specialising in the catering/convenience retail sector. We have an in-house retail department serving the local retail market.
Our served market is in a geographic radius of up to 100 miles from our premises. We offer a delivered, just in time service to our customers, operating on lead times as short as 2 to 3 hours from time of order by the customer. We operate refrigerated delivery vehicles on predefined routes and schedules.
We employ a team of 26 people with full-time and part-time staff. Our team is made up of a group of committed, responsible and capable individuals who constantly strive towards providing industry-leading standards of produce quality and service to our customers. We constantly endeavour to improve our standards of best practice.
In January 2007, the company was awarded the ISO 22000 HACCP standard by the NSAI. Richardsons were the first produce supplier in Ireland to be awarded this new standard by the NSAI.
November 2007 saw the re-branding of Richardsons as Richardson's Foods. Our new logo and identity represents the company's broadening portfolio of value added products.
Our capacity to add value for our customers is dependant on our ability to provide a quality range of fresh produce as required, delivered on a reliable, just in time basis, together with a dependable while practicable emergency back-up service. Our objective is that all our interactions with our customers, from telephone to operations, to administration support must be perceived as professional throughout.
