Ulster Bank says it believes the short-term economic outlook for Ireland is not as bad as previously thought.
In its latest monthly economic bulletin, the bank says it now expects the economy to contract by 3.2% next year, which is a smaller decline that its previous prediction.
Ulster Bank says the change is due to improvements in the international environment, with Japan, France and Germany all announcing slight growth in the second quarter of this year.
